The IVF Clinic Directory allows clinics to share their services and policies in one place, in their own words, so patients can compare options without relying on forums or rumors.
The IVF Clinic Directory was created to reduce confusion for patients and give clinics a clear way to explain how they operate, without rankings, reviews, or third-party interpretation.
It’s intended for English-speaking audiences and includes clinics from multiple countries. Clinics serving international or traveling patients are welcome to participate.
Founding clinics are being finalized ahead of launch and represent a small group of early participants helping shape the directory before it goes live.
How clinic profiles work
Clinics can participate using one of three listing types: Basic, Featured, or Academic, which allow different levels of information to be shared.
- Basic Listing (free): Includes core information with checkboxes for initial patient screening of clinics.
- Featured Listing (paid): Expanded profile with text, media, and additional sections to support deeper clinic evaluation, plus priority placement in search.
- Academic Listing (complimentary): Same as Featured, offered at no cost to accredited university-affiliated or teaching clinics.
Example clinic profiles
Example profiles below show a Basic and Featured listing with all sections completed, to illustrate the full range of information clinics can share. Clinics decide which sections to complete and can update their profiles over time.
What Featured and Academic listings allow clinics to explain
Featured and Academic listings include additional sections with free text, images, and video not available in Basic profiles, allowing clinics to describe their practice in greater detail.
For example, clinics can use these sections to explain:
- their clinic and team
- areas of expertise that go beyond standard IVF care
- additional add-ons or services offered
- financial programs
- support for traveling or international patients
Because these profiles include additional text, clinics may also appear in search results for treatments or services that are not captured in Basic profiles. Featured and Academic listings also receive priority placement in directory search results.
What patients said during early review
During early testing, we asked patients to review example clinic profiles and share feedback on how useful the directory felt.
Based on feedback from 40 patients:
- 82.5% said they would use the directory when choosing or comparing IVF clinics. The remaining respondents said “maybe”; no one said they would not use it.
- 82.5% said the directory would help them compare clinics more confidently (17.5% said “somewhat”).
- 90.0% said a Basic profile was enough or mostly enough for initial screening of a clinic.
- 77.5% said they would want access to the deeper clinic details in Featured or Academic profiles (20% said “somewhat”).
“Finding an appropriate fertility clinic required a lot of effort just to get basic questions answered. Something like this would really help.”
“This would have been very useful during my initial clinic search.”
“It provides much-needed information that, for some reason, hasn’t existed for patients.”
Why clinics choose to participate
The directory helps patients better understand services and policies before making contact and provides a clear place for clinics to explain their practices directly, rather than relying on forum discussions or incomplete summaries shared elsewhere online.
Some clinics participate to improve visibility among patients actively researching IVF options. The directory is maintained by Remembryo (Embryoman), an IVF science education platform read by patients worldwide.
Clinics supporting traveling patients
Many patients travel for fertility treatment, sometimes from another city, state, or country. Basic listings indicate whether a clinic supports domestic or international traveling patients, while Featured profiles allow clinics to describe their travel support in greater detail.
For example, clinics may explain:
- how care is coordinated before, during, and after treatment
- eligibility for international patients and common patient groups treated
- travel support such as remote monitoring, telemedicine, translation, or accommodation
- which countries or regions their international patients most often travel from
What the directory does not do
The IVF Clinic Directory is not a rating or review platform.
Clinics are not ranked, scored, or evaluated, and patient reviews are not collected. The directory does not endorse clinics or make performance comparisons. It is also not a referral or clinic-matching service and does not sell or generate patient leads.
Where applicable, clinics may link to official outcomes reporting systems such as SART or HFEA. The directory itself does not analyze or compare success rates.
Who maintains the directory
The IVF Clinic Directory is maintained by Remembryo (Embryoman), an independent IVF science news and education platform focused on evidence-based fertility information.
Remembryo is read by patients, clinicians, and embryologists worldwide and is dedicated to helping people better understand IVF research. It reaches roughly 165,000 readers annually, primarily in the United States, with additional readership in the UK, Canada, and Australia. Many readers are actively researching IVF treatment options and are open to comparing clinics. You can visit Remembryo here.
How to participate
Founding clinic availability is limited and finalized ahead of launch. Clinics invited to participate will receive step-by-step instructions during onboarding. You can also review the process here:
